* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Lake County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 545 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Prairie Grove to Oakwood Hills, moving east at 30
  mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
           roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling,
  Northbrook, North Chicago, Gurnee, Mundelein, Highland Park, Round
  Lake Beach, Vernon Hills, Grayslake, Libertyville, Lake Zurich,
  Lake Forest, Round Lake, Wauconda, Fox Lake, Barrington, Island
  Lake, Deerfield, Gages Lake, Glencoe, and Long Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
