...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DAKOTA...
SOUTHEASTERN SCOTT AND RICE COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM CDT...

At 556 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lonsdale to 7 miles
west of Dundas to near Warsaw. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Faribault, Northfield, Lakeville, Farmington, Lonsdale, Webster,
Dundas, Morristown, Warsaw, Nerstrand, Elko New Market, and
Bridgewater.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 54 and 80.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
