...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN PHELPS...
SOUTHEASTERN GOSPER...FURNAS AND NORTHWESTERN HARLAN COUNTIES THROUGH
1245 AM CDT...

At 1215 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Smithfield to 9 miles
north of Oxford to near Edison to Beaver City. Movement was east at
30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Oxford and Hollinger around 1220 AM CDT.
  Stamford around 1225 AM CDT.
  Atlanta around 1230 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
