FQCN20 CWVR 021729 MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT FOR THE PACIFIC WATERS ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 10:29 A.M. PDT SUNDAY 2 JUNE 2024. A Pacific frontal system from Haida Gwaii to west coast Vancouver Island this morning will move to lie along the mainland coast by late this afternoon and then to BC interior this evening. A 990 mb Pacific low will approach northwest Vancouver Island tonight and then dissipate while moving across northern Vancouver Island Monday morning. Southeast gales over central and northern waters and west of Vancouver Island will ease to light to moderate southwest in the wake of the front. Storms are possible near the headlands of northwest Vancouver Island. Westerly gales are then forecast to the south of the low's track tonight. Another Pacific frontal system will bring gale to storm force southeast winds across BC waters late Monday. END/
