...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WOOD COUNTY THROUGH 615 PM CDT...

At 541 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles west of Pittsville to 10 miles east of
Millston. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Wisconsin Rapids, Pittsville, Babcock, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, Biron,
Sherry, Vesper, Rudolph, and Arpin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for
central Wisconsin.
