* Special Marine Warning for...

  Sandy Hook NJ to Moriches Inlet NY out 60 NM...
  Long Island South Shore Bays...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 704 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Cold Spring Harbor to near Entrance to New York
  Harbor to 13 nm southeast of Shark River Reef, moving east at 35
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  East Bay, Jones Beach, Jones Inlet, Middle Bay, and South Oyster
  Bay around 710 PM EDT.
  Fire Island Inlet around 720 PM EDT.
  Buoy 44025 and Great South Bay around 740 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with these storms. If caught on the open
water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal
objects.
