  S of Cape Hatteras NC to Ocracoke Inlet NC out to 20 NM...
  S of Ocracoke Inlet NC to Cape Lookout NC out to 20 NM...

* Until 830 AM EDT.

* At 726 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Ocracoke, or near Ocracoke Inlet,
  moving north at 5 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ar250, Hatteras Inlet, Ar230, Ocracoke Inlet, Ar220, Ar255,
  Ocracoke, and Ar225.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
