An area of snow will move into central South Dakota this morning, then progress eastward into northeast South Dakota by late morning and early afternoon. A brief period of light freezing rain or sleet is possible on the back edge of precipitation as it departs. Potential exists for roads to become slick at times from a light glaze of ice. South winds gusting from 25 to 35 mph will bring areas of light blowing and drifting snow as well. Snowfall amounts will generally be around an inch or less.
